Chair Mat Faqs

1. How do you ship your mats?
Rolled and Flat.
To ship our mats in the least costly way, we heat and roll our vinyl mats for shipment VIA FEDEX or UPS ground to reduce the shipping cost..
Since our Black Diamond Polymer and Wood laminate mats are ridged, we ship those in a flat heavy duty package.

2. I have heard complaints about chair mats that are rolled to ship and that they will not go flat?
The complaints you might have heard are generally about the common office supply chair mats that have been rolled up for months in a box.
In the many years, 13 to date, we have been shipping our mats this way, we have never had one of ours not go flat.
One thing about vinyl is that the longer it is rolled up, the longer it takes for the material to relax and flatten. We roll our mats right before they are shipped so as to reduce the memory issue.
Your mat will usually flatten within 24-48 hours. Sometimes less, sometimes a little more.
The warmer the temperature, the quicker it will relax.
In some situations and if requested by you we can ship orders of 10 or more flat on a pallet. These chair mats are shipped via common carrier and the delivery address will need to have a loading dock. Shipping single mats in flat parcel is tremendously expensive due to carrier sizing up charges.  Please contact us for prices if you are considering a flat parcel ship method. Please note: Sizes larger that 46x60 cannot go parcel and need to be shipped via freight carrier.

3. Are your chair mats hard or flexible?
Both!
Our chair mats are a clear flexible vinyl. They range in thickness from approx. 1/8" - 1/4". Being that the mats are vinyl they may tend to dimple where your chair sits if the material is to thin for your situation, so it's very important to choose the proper thickness. The thicker your carpet the thicker your mat needs to be. We cannot guarantee you that the mat won't dimple but you reduce the chance of it dimpling by selecting the proper mat.
Our Black Diamond Series mats are rigid.
Our Wood Laminate mats are rigid.

3. How thick are your chair mats? We have 4 different thicknesses ranging from approx. 1/8" thick for low pile carpet glued to the floor to approx.1/4" thick for deep pile carpet with pad.
Black Diamond - Approx 1/4 inch
Wood Laminate - Approx 3/8 inch

5. How long will it take for me to receive my chair mat? Most orders ship within 2-3 working days. Please visit the delivery info link to see the transit time to your state from Texas. Please allow 3-7 days for Ventated mats.

6. What is a Vent A Mat™ chair mat? This process perforates the chair mat to allow it to breath in those situations where the floor under your mat was not properly sealed and allows moisture to gather.
7. Can I get a bevel edge on my chair mat? Yes.

8. Can I order a chair mat cut different than one of your patterns? Yes. Check out our custom made chair mats link where you can draw it online or you can fax a drawing with dimensions and include the material you want it cut out of as well as the zip code it's shipping to. Fax# (832)-553-3249
